The Council is seeking a hands-on Network Manager to join its enthusiastic ICT team. The role involves working with and managing two Infrastructure Officers, to ensure network availability, incident resolution and successful project delivery. You will have responsibility for the security and resilience of the network and infrastructure, ensuring PSN and PCI compliance is maintained.

This is an interesting and varied role in which you will find that no two days are the same. It is ideal for a senior ICT infrastructure expert who is attracted by the breadth of work, high level of autonomy and enjoys solving complex technical issues through implementing appropriate solutions. It would also provide an ideal opportunity for a technically competent ICT professional seeking their next career step. As a key member of the in-house team, you should want to make a difference and deliver real value to the community.

You’ll have a solid background of technical expertise in ICT infrastructure and ensuring it is robust, resilient and secure. This will come with a demonstrable track record of project management and ICT business change/improvement. You will know what ‘good’ architecture looks like and be able to motivate and develop people. You should have great knowledge of networking, on-premise/cloud infrastructure and their underpinning components. You will be working in a busy environment, so it is essential that you are well organised, resilient and flexible
